LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Each week, our football staff at DK Pittsburgh Sports predicts the Steelers' result, along with sharing a few related thoughts.

For a full preview of the matchup with the Raiders, check out my breakdown.

Chris Halicke (1-1): The Raiders are vulnerable on the ground, and the middle of their defense -- which includes former Steeler Robert Spillane -- should be open for the passing game to do some damage. If the offense can't find their "mojo," as Mike Tomlin put it earlier this week, then I don't know what it'll take for this offense to get things right. The Raiders certainly provide the difficult challenge of stopping Josh Jacobs and the running game while not forgetting about Davante Adams and other weapons through the air. Las Vegas is struggling to run the ball right now, and I don't think this defense will let themselves get embarrassed on the ground for the third straight week. Steelers, 20-16

Corey Crisan (1-1): Not much has gone right for the Steelers' offense, and it needed two defensive scores to best Cleveland last week. This week presents an easier challenge for the offense, though I don't think things get going in a more productive sense from that standpoint. The defense played as well as it could have last week, and I feel a similarly toned outcome could be in play against the less formidable Raiders. Steelers, 13-10

Matt Williamson (0-2): I have the Steelers winning this game in somewhat of a "get right" offensive effort against a putrid Raiders defense. It will be truly alarming and worrisome if the Steelers can't get something going on this side of the ball against this opponent. However, I do expect Davante Adams to put up big numbers despite a heavy Steelers pass rush. Steelers, 20-17

Ramon Foster (1-1): I look at this week and I say the defense has to back it up again. And, the offense has to be better. It's hard to predict this team getting over 20 points at this point. That's fair to say. I don't know what this team is going to do offensively to make me optimistic about getting the job done. That's what sucks the most, man. That defense can't hold them to 18, 16, 14 or 10 points. If they're out there so long and so much, then the defense gets tired. Everyone has a breaking point. That's what this defense is up against. We're trying to figure out if this offense is going to help it out. Steelers, 18-10
